WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES
We are strongly affiliated to Eddie Chinn drama workshops which has intermediate and senior groups aged between 11 and 24. One of the main reasons for Penny Lane Actors Agency opening was to offer representation to the workshop members. All workshops are led by Eddie Chinn who with over 20yrs experience in training and teaching young actors brings a wealth of expertise to these classes.
EDDIE CHINN – WORKSHOP LEADER
Eddie has over 20 years’ experience of teaching and coaching actors of all ages across the UK. After gaining his degree from LIVERPOOL INSTITUTE OF PERFORMING ARTS (LIPA) and performing in theatres throughout the UK and Europe, he moved into teaching and coaching young actors.
His philosophy is that acting is a life skill needed by all. It brings out, confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, imagination, to name a few. All are key attributes to modern day living.
Eddie, through his teaching and workshops has helped many young actors gain places at top drama schools, get represented by reputable agents and appear in film and tv.
Eddie’s workshops are not about stardom and fame, they encourage and develop young people to Express themselves and explore the freedom of creativity. Sessions will include general warmups, improv, devising and script work. From time to time, we will have Casting Directors visit us which is a great opportunity for our members. Being dyslexic himself he understands the people who are slow readers and will work with those members in an inclusive way.
GROUP CLASSES
We only work in groups of up to 30 people as this-way allows us to make sure everyone can participate and Eddie gets a chance to work with everyone.
group times
We have 2 groups: two groups of 11 to 13yr olds, who meet the 3rd Sunday of each month, from 1.30 to 3.30. We have a group of 14 and upwards and we meet 1st Sunday of each month from 1.30 to 4.30.
Our Workshops are based in Liverpool.
